Pilgrimages
"For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ"
Philippians 3:20
Intro
To be Christian is to be a pilgrim.
In the words of Saint Augustin, "our hearts are restless (Lord), until they rest in you."
Since the earliest days of the Church, pilgrimages have been an integral part of our faith. They serve as a reminder that while we are in the world, we do not belong to the world. And that at any moment we can get up, pick up our mats, walk home, and sin no more (John 5:8).
I hope that these collections from my own pilgrimages will inspire many to plan their own and encourage them to draw closer to Christ who is our true home.
